Who We Are

1941

Young Life begins in the USA

Jim Rayburn had the vision to reach millions of young people, so he founded the association of Young Life. In 1953, the first Young Life Club in France began in Paris. A few years later, the name "Jeunesse Ardente" was chosen. France was the first country outside of the United States to participate in the vision of Young Life.

3 Areas in France

Young Life / Jeunesse Ardente is currently active in three parts of France.

Today YL/JA exists in Grenoble, Lyon, and in the Haute Savoie. We also have a camp that looks out over Mont Blanc at the Praz de Lys ski station.
